Kudos to New Hampshire
>>>Right to Choose<<<
I have been so hard against this since it started. The "CLICK IT OR TICKET" law, is in my opinion unconstitutional. I am not a lawyer, but when the government begins tell you what you have to do in your own car I don't think it is right. I agree and support whole heart that minors should wear seatbelts, and under 12 in the backseat, and I am a strong proponent of child safety seats.....but these are MINORS. I am an adult and if I choose to not wear my seatbelt it endangers no one but myself and it is not a govenrment cancern. A real thorn in my side is that I live in Ohio, so I have to wear my seatbelt or get a ticket...it is to protect me Right? However when I ride a motorcycle after having a license for more than one year I an not required to wear a helmet! Get that? Which do you think is more dangerous, and I have been driving for 21 years, way longer than motorcyclists allowed to ride without helmets. Now I am not disputing the helmet law in Ohio, I believe is is correct. I just muse to point out that there is no structure for the claims Ohio has made to bring forth and continue the seatbelt law. They can even pull you over in Ohio JUST because you are not wearing your seatbelt and for no other reason! Well check this news article printed 6/1/2007 and see how the New Hampshire Senate voted their's down! Nice job New Hampshire!
Peace
